Ice Skating Adventure

We had a great time ice skating with some of our dearest kiddos--Miriam, Katie, Ethan, Kathryn, and Ethan S. The rink was not busy and it was fun to skate and catch up with each of them.

GES Mentoring and Friendsgiving Dinner

Julia had fun at the Green Engineering Scholars mentorship night. Unfortunately, OSU ended its winning streak this past weekend, but Jules and friends still have tons of school spirit. Lastly, she had a nice Friendsgiving dinner with the Arouse radio club...delicious!

Ramen, Bands, and Birthday

Julia and Steven enjoyed Veterans Day off. OSU handed out donuts and dogs outside of the Wexner Center in honor of veterans. Julia is busy as classes gear up for the home stretch, writing papers and prepping for final exams.  She went to Meshikou Ramen Restaurant  for Japanese ramen--the real deal--with Stephanie and her friend. Julia highly recommends the barbecue chasu bun! She attended a Battle of the Bands concert on Friday. Her friend, Patrick, is a drummer and his band won the competition. She stopped in at the Union to see a rally in support of Mizzou. We missed hearing her radio show (Caitlyn was out of town), and especially missed her at Kathryn's birthday party! Sunday, I made an 8-lb roasted chicken...it was yum! Besides seeing Jules, I can't wait to feed  her nutritious food!

Brutus Birthday and More Fun Times

More fun times with Julia at OSU, in addition to a very hard Calc 2 midterm. Keep on keeping on, Jules. You can do it! Brutus celebrated his 50th birthday on November 5, 2015. Julia attended a talk with OSU President Drake, a concert, a museum, and Chop Shop. I love listening to Alt Expose with Ruth and Rose (Saturdays, 5pm) on Arouse OSU radio--Caitlyn and Julia are too cute! Counting the days until she comes home for Thanksgiving break! And check out my personality twin...that girl knows how to melt my heart.

Halloween Hood and Abroad

Halloween fun in Columbus, Glover Park, and Annandale! Julia and her friends dressed up as the Breakfast Club. Stephanie and Julia hosted a party at their apartment, after their weekly radio show, of course. Caitlyn and Julia enjoyed some burgers at the Chop Shop; good quality meat with lots of good options for toppings. Yum! Steven and I celebrated with delicious Rocklands; nothing beats The Belly Buster and the Italian Sausage and Onions Platter. So good. Steven handed out seven bags of candy and had to turn off the lights around 8:30pm to signal--we're completely out of candy! Check out the costume options from Ethan and Kathryn. I love the broken doll costume. Ethan was an M&M for a school, "I Want Candy" dance. Fun!
