Two for One on Food Science Class

Thanks to Jules for passing along all of her food science course information and assignments!

This past week Julia made chili and enjoyed yummy eats at Bakersfield, Buckeye Donuts, and Brassica. I hope we can squeeze in a visit to Brassica when we are in town in May. They have allergen information on their website and everything is gluten free except for the pitas and pita chips--yum!

Jules is coming home Friday and it cannot come soon enough! We cannot wait!

Valentine Sweetness and Skiing

Last week, the highlight for Julia was the awesome date planned by Benjamin. They went to Due Amici for a three-course meal, followed by a wine and chocolate tasting at the Franklin Park Conservatory.

Benjamin, Caitlyn, and a bunch of atmospheric friends (10 in all) went to Mad River Mountain to ski. She also enjoyed a trip to the art museum, playing Settlers of Catan, working at the lab, and...oh yeah, going to class. :)

Our DC V-day was a little less fancy, but just as sweet. Can you guess what gift belongs to whom? Check out the 17-pound bird we roasted this weekend from Wagshal's. Delicious!

5 for 5 -- Where Will She Go?

Congratulations to Julia! She received an offer to graduate school from every program she applied to...now it is decision time! Kings College London and the University of Edinburgh were the last two to come in. These are in the running with the University of Leeds. Hmmmm... it is a nice position for her to be in. We are so proud of her. She is weighing all three carefully and will make the right decision, we have no doubt.

Meanwhile, her last senior semester is cranking away. She went to a bar for the Super Bowl, ate cajun yumminess at Da Levee, saw, "Paris is Burning," had dinner at Caitlyn and Maddie's, and had a full-of-love-advice radio show on Sunday. All remains good with the boyfriend Benjamin. Can't wait to hear about her Valentine's Day! It was four years ago, Valentine's Day, that we visited OSU for the first time and all fell in love. Steven is finally feeling better, so we're happy to get back into a good routine here.
