Chicagoland Fun

Julia had a wonderful long weekend with family and friends--splitting it quite equally--in Chicago. One night at Matt's sister's, one night with Emmie, back with Matt, then back with Emmie. She made her way around lots of good sites and good eats too: Pequod's Pizza, Lincoln Park Zoo, Small Cheval, The Field Museum, Jeni's, rooftop pool, and the farmer's market. Laura was an amazing host and even met the boyfriend, Benjamin--thank you for hosting him too! He rescued Julia from an 8+ hour Greyhound ride back to Columbus.

Mammoth Cave National Park

Julia, Benjamin, Sarah, and Chris went to Mammoth Cave National Park for the weekend in south-central Kentucky. It was real deal camping with rain, humidity, hammocks, tents, campfire turkey burgers, and cave exploring. They had some interesting stops along the way, including Cincinnati and Louisville.

Mother's Day Weekend

Laura came to Washington, DC, to celebrate Mother's Day. We also had a belated birthday bash for Ethan--16 years old! Good eats included delicious leg of lamb dinner and a Sunday brunch. Julia went with Maddie and Caitlyn back to Caitlyn's hometown for the weekend. Meanwhile, Jules continues to work in the lab, hang with friends, and enjoy class-free days. Benjamin and Julia celebrated four months.
