IASC Fellowship

Julia was awarded the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) fellowship. As part of the Atmosphere Working Group, she attended the Arctic Science Summit Week in Aarhus, Denmark. It took her 37 hours to fly across the globe from Fairbanks, Alaska, to Aarhus, Denmark!!. Next year, they will convene in Japan. Julia is enjoying her time there and networking with amazing scientists from around the world. Check out her tiny hotel room where she is hanging up her laundry. Next, she will go to Amsterdam and Utrecht in the Netherlands.

On the home front, we went to see Shakespeare's The Two Gentlemen of Verona, very funny. Mom had a packed weekend of performances.

St. Patrick's Day

Julia and Megan celebrated St. Patrick's Day together. Check out Julia enjoying Fairbank's warm spell — it reached 19 degrees. She said it felt like 60 in the sun. Too funny. She hopped on a plane early this morning and is heading to Denmark (very long travel day). On the home front, we went to a few more condo open houses with my friend Brenda.
