Pickleball and Birthday

Julia and Benjamin had a fun weekend with pickleball on Saturday and Sunday. They shopped around Old Town and found Benjamin's wedding band. It was recovered by Allen Aragon, a Navajo artist, and is presumed to be Navajo or Pueblo. There are three bears on it; Allen described the ring as "mama bear, papa bear, and baby bear."  They have to get it resized, but for now, Benjamin is wearing it with his dog tags. They ate and worked at Black Bird Coffee House and Flying Star Cafe. 

On the home front, we celebrated Lisa's birthday at the Capital Grille with the Sarrges and Mom. Delicious and always a good time with family. 

Counting Down & Birthday Fun

Julia went to Golden Eagle with friends Margaret and Hannah, where you grill your own burgers. They also went to an art gallery to see and purchase some of Hannah's art (displayed near her computer). Jules had a breakfast date with Hannah and her roommates. Check out her clean room before she starts packing! The pink walls crack me up. Also, she made banana muffins with Megan.

On the home front, we visited the Flower Mart at the National Cathedral. Yesterday, we celebrated Ethan's 24th birthday at the Capital Grille. Thank you, Sarrges--delicious and entertaining as always!

Happy New Year

Julia and Benjamin returned from New Hampshire, and we opened some presents— including salmon jerky, smoked salmon, reindeer sausage, elk sticks, moose meat, and salt! Yum! 

In DC, we rang in the new year with Mom, Tony & Lisa, Maureen, Chuck & Terry, and Bill & Larissa. We had a delicious meal at the Capital Grille (thank you, Sarrges!). 

Lisa and Tony went to Deep Creek to ski and pick up our half cow! 

We had the pleasure of meeting Benji, Benjamin's pilot roommate, when he was stationed in Enterprise, AL. Benji will now be at Andrews Air Force Base—a great guy, so fun to get to know him and hear their stories.  

Welcome 2025

Happy New Year! We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Capital Grille—thank you, Lisa and Tony! Mom, Maureen, Chuck, and Terry were there too. We got back to Annandale just in time to see the ball drop. We're looking forward to more good memories with friends and family.
