Munich and Salzburg Adventure

Tribe reunited in Germany and Austria for a wonderful vacation. Our time in Munich was educational, with a guided walking tour and a trip to Dachau, the first concentration camp. It was also super cool to see these guys surfacing on the river!

We took the train to Salzburg and it could not have been more picturesque. Julia and I enjoyed recreating all of the scenes (we could find) from the Sound of Music. The city is all about Mozart and hardly anything about the movie. :) The weather was 65 and sunny both days--perfect. We enjoyed a lot of sausage and pork! So good. Best part was spending time with Jules!

Memorial Day Weekend

Julia received her first paycheck from Management Concepts. They had another busy week of BBQs and birthday celebrations. While the job is a bit dry for her liking, the people are very nice and she gets to spend time with her dad. Kudos to her, she's been running on the treadmill or outside every day. She went out with Jessie a couple of times--once running, and once to Pie Sisters! John Robert is working there this summer; the jumble berry pie with ice cream was delicious. Julia went to Guapos with Susannah and Cecily; she enjoyed the steak fiesta salad.

The Rolling Thunder "Ride for Freedom" was Sunday. There were thousands of bikes swarming every where this past weekend.

I made my first pork belly in the oven. Julia and I enjoyed it, Steven isn't a fan of the fat like we are. It might be my absolute favorite food.

Quiet is getting more vocal and clingy every day. He has no idea the bundle of joy that is about to come his way. Tentatively calling him, Peanut Butter Simpson.
