Two for One on Food Science Class

Thanks to Jules for passing along all of her food science course information and assignments!

This past week Julia made chili and enjoyed yummy eats at Bakersfield, Buckeye Donuts, and Brassica. I hope we can squeeze in a visit to Brassica when we are in town in May. They have allergen information on their website and everything is gluten free except for the pitas and pita chips--yum!

Jules is coming home Friday and it cannot come soon enough! We cannot wait!

From Banana Bread to British Breakfast

Julia made banana bread, ate out a lot, and ended with making a classic British inspired breakfast. LOL Given the lighter academic load, it is clear that she is enjoying this semester more than any other previous one. We're glad; she deserves that and has worked hard. Caitlyn and Julia celebrated three years of their radio show, Alt Expose with Ruth and Rose. Thanks for playing my request, "Faithfully" by Journey! Sweet post-celebration at Buckeye Donuts. Some of her standby favorite restaurants included Union Cafe, Blue Danube, Skully's Music Diner, and Hot Chicken Takeover

Buckeye Blackout, Restaurant Faves, OSU Radio, and Deep Creek

Julia has some very nice friends who both take her out and make her meals. They are welcome to come home with her over the summer. Ryan and Julia went to Olive Garden. John Morgan made lasagna. The four girls went to Forno Kitchen and Bar. I forget who took her to Hubbard Grill--but that was the restaurant we went to for Valentine's Day when we first visited OSU in 2014. It was delicious, and those duck wings look amazing! Sarah and Julia went to Union Cafe for brunch--another yummy spot we have visited on past trips to Columbus. The Buckeye Blackout crew baked up a bunch of treats for their concert event. Julia's not totally enjoying the presidential duties of event planning; however, it was a success and it is over. After the event, they went to Sicilia's for fried mac and cheese bites. Julia created a nice rain-sea foam-clothesline candle at The Candle Lab--sounds laundry fresh.

Julia started at the new lab! The office looks very chic and millennial friendly. She's very excited and we're sure she'll get some great research experience. Caitlyn and Julia got back on the air with Arouse OSU. Tune in every Sunday at 3pm.

Steven went to Deep Creek with Tony and Chad to pull out the dock. Although cold and wet, they got the job done.

Cranking Out...End in Sight

Julia is making her way to the end of the semester--can not wait to have her home May 4! Her haircut is fabulous, such a great length on her. Caitlyn and Sarah both had birthdays--happy 21. Julia went to a Regina Spektor concert (love her!), attended Meteorology Club meetings, saw "Get Out," organized a Buckeye Blackout bake sale (no mention if she contributed baked goods or not, but concert is April 7!!), conjured up some crockpot creations, and kept the lights on for Alt Expose (radio show). All this--plus keeping up with her 18-credit hour semester.

Good job on choking down the Omega-3 horse pills! And thanks for inspiring me to pick my knitting back up!
