Cartoon and Vancouver Vibes

Someone created a cartoon commentary on Julia's team expedition. Julia is the one talking; you can tell because of the jacket! Hilarious.

Steven and I went to Vancouver. It was supposed to be 100% rain every day, but it ended up raining very little and mostly at night. We took a ferry ride to Granville Island for the public market. They had great vendors, and lots of gluten-free, dairy-free sausage and beef jerky! Stanley Park was beautiful, with the water and the Canadian Rocky Mountains in the background. Chinatown and Gastown were fun to walk around in. We caught the steam clock right at noon when it tooted a little tune. 

Vancouver is nicer than Toronto, but not as charming as Quebec.

Visiting Knaresborough

Julia and her friends went to Knaresborough, in North Yorkshire, England, over the weekend. It looks like a great time and quaint town.

Jules is working hard to wrap up deadlines before spring break. She is on a gluten-free streak--YAY (I know it isn't easy!). We cannot wait to see her in Munich!

We're also thinking of Benjamin as he prepares for his dream job in Alaska! We are so proud and happy for him. Kudos!

Two for One on Food Science Class

Thanks to Jules for passing along all of her food science course information and assignments! 

This past week Julia made chili and enjoyed yummy eats at Bakersfield, Buckeye Donuts, and Brassica. I hope we can squeeze in a visit to Brassica when we are in town in May. They have allergen information on their website and everything is gluten free except for the pitas and pita chips--yum!

Jules is coming home Friday and it cannot come soon enough! We cannot wait!
