Working through Spring Break, Friends, and Play

This girl is busy! After our trip, Julia has been cranking on her dissertation--the Web site component, meeting with Anna, and more! Keep on, keeping on! She has been cooking up a storm as well; a few samples are below (all keto friendly).

Don and Laura stopped on their way to Blacksburg, Va. It was good to see them, celebrate Don's birthday with Buckeyes, and hammer out some of our upcoming Greece trip. They were able to catch the first half of Kathryn's 8th grade play, "The Importance of Being Ernest." Kathryn did an excellent job!! And although Meme was traveling to Rochester, we had Miriam over Saturday night for dinner. She was full of all good news regarding the plethora of choices she has for next year. Stay tuned on that big decision!

Munich and Salzburg Adventure

Tribe reunited in Germany and Austria for a wonderful vacation. Our time in Munich was educational, with a guided walking tour and a trip to Dachau, the first concentration camp. It was also super cool to see these guys surfacing on the river!

We took the train to Salzburg and it could not have been more picturesque. Julia and I enjoyed recreating all of the scenes (we could find) from the Sound of Music. The city is all about Mozart and hardly anything about the movie. :) The weather was 65 and sunny both days--perfect. We enjoyed a lot of sausage and pork! So good. Best part was spending time with Jules!

Visiting Scarborough with Benjamin

One last visit from Benjamin before he heads to Alaska! They cooked beef bulgogi and pork belly, hung out with friends, and ate at Red's True Barbecue. Then they ventured to Scarborough, a quaint resort town on the UK's North Sea coast. Besides the great views and scenery, they saw Scarborough Castle, the historic lighthouse, and enjoyed good food. What a great way to start her spring break! Next up... Munich and Salzburg!
