Barcelona Tribe Vibes

The first international trip as a family post-COVID! We went to Barcelona and saw the best the Catalonia region could offer, from the mountainous scenery and fantastic architecture to the Gothic Quarter and the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia. We met our tour guide on La Rambla, a wide tree-shaded avenue famous for its wide pedestrian sidewalks, shops, restaurants, and cafes. One of our favorite stops was shopping at the Mercat de la Boqueria--specialty meats, fish, and produce. We went to Parc Guell, a colorful luxuriant hillside park with gardens and architectural elements created by Antoni Gaudi. One of his creations, Casa Batllo, is a fantastical mansion. I love the wave-shaped roofs and tile that Gaudi is known for, and you see throughout the city. There were several cool squares, especially in the Gothic Quarter. We also climbed Montjuic and visited the waterfront, providing incredible views of the city.
