Published, Birthday, and Mother's Day

It's official--the research paper Julia started at the University of Leeds has been published: Change in Antarctic Ice Shelf Area from 2009 to 2019! She put so much blood, sweat, and tears into this paper; so happy it is done.

We celebrated Ethan's 21st birthday and Mother's Day. It was nice to have everyone together. And, of course, the food was so yummy. Lisa and Tony always go above and beyond.

Seattle, Whidbey Island, and Flower Mart

Julia went out to the West Coast for a week. She attended two conferences in Seattle, followed by a short course, COLDEX, on Whidbey Island--just two hours north of Seattle. Jules presented her poster. The pictures are beautiful. She has built up a nice community of professionals and friends in her field.

Last weekend, we went to the Flower Mart at the National Cathedral. The weather was perfect, and it was packed with people!

Minneapolis, French Market, Oxford

After a brief vacation, Benjamin started his first shift with Atlas. Go get 'em! Julia is working away in St. Paul and has a busy month coming up of conferences, presenting, and preparing for her oral exams. We had a taste of France at the annual French Market in Georgetown--it was packed even though the weather was overcast and rainy. Mom made it to Oxford for Emmie's graduation!
