Parents Weekend Fun

Check out mom climbing the Flatirons in Boulder, CO. She went with Lisa to Ethan's parent weekend events at the University of Colorado. Julia, was busy in St. Paul working and making soup. Here in DC, we attended the Georgetown Family Weekend events. It was so nice to spend time with Carrie, Mark, and Elizabeth. We heard some great lectures at Georgetown, enjoyed lunch, and even got some GT swag!

Pumpkin, Burgers, and Meat Haul

Julia shared her current, on-trend morning concoction. Pumpkin! Check out the gorgeous dinner from Bole Ethiopian Cuisine. It was Benjamin's last night before heading back to work. Last weekend, we met Lisa & Tony at Thunder Burger for dinner. Good food and good company. I tried a new, local meat delivery service, Near Country Provisions. It supports local farmers and is hand-delivered to your door. The meat is grass-fed; pork is pasture-raised. I ordered a lot of beef, but also some pork and chicken. The bacon was fantastic and the ribeye is perfectly fatty and delicious. Whether it is going to Wagshals or getting a meat delivery--feels like Christmas to me! When I retire, I want to work at Wagshals. 😂

Just Like Family

Julia hosted one of her childhood friends, Jessica, in St. Paul for the weekend. She said that Jessie is just like family to her. I'm so glad they have been able to maintain and even grow their friendship through the years.

Our big event was taking Booberry and Quiet to Kathryn's soccer game at Visitation. It was their longest ever event and it was NOT without some crying and wanting to be held. They survived. Unfortunately, in the last few minutes of the game, Visi scored and won the game.
