Good news--Benjamin is doing well! He's made friends, and it isn't as demanding physically as he thought it would be (probably because he was totally prepared, ready, and in shape). So proud of him! Julia is adjusting and staying active herself. She's taken several long bike rides, reorganized her kitchen, and got a new haircut. Also shown below: lettuce wraps for dinner.
For the last week, Julia and Benjamin have squeezed in as many "dates" as possible. Benjamin left for Officer Training School yesterday. Goodbyes are hard.
Here in DC we saw Aaron and Miriam on Father's Day--another goodbye as Miriam moves from Charlottesville to Boston for med school.
Julia and friends have been taking advantage of the nice weather and great bike paths around Minneapolis/St Paul. Also pictured is her steak salad with homemade pesto sauce.
Here in DC, we celebrated Todd's 60th birthday and Hunter's 22nd birthday. Tyler was back for the week, Skyler was driving through, and it was Ethan's last day before heading back to Boulder. It was good to catch up with everyone. And, Noreen made some delicious beef tenderloin...so good.
Julia and Benjamin attended another wedding. They flew to Boston, spent some time with Lia (Holton buddy) and Mike, and then drove westward for Allie's wedding. Julia reconnected with all of her University of Leeds friends.
Meme went to Rochester for a wedding, spent time with her favorites Aunt Linda and Uncle Tim, and celebrated Aunt Ruthie's 69th birthday!
In DC, we had Katie over! Booberry joined us for dinner and allowed Katie some quick cuddles.
