No Kings Rally

Julia and her friends celebrated Alejandro's birthday, she took care of Mark the cat, and attended the No Kings rally. Here in DC, the US Army celebrated its 250th anniversary with a massive military parade on Saturday. We hunkered down--there were tons of road closures (no protests that we saw). Steven and I celebrated our 24th anniversary. :)

Chill Weekend

Julia is still grinding out her dissertation. There was an arts festival right outside her door over the weekend. She lives next to an elementary school in a really cute neighborhood. She also had steak night with Sam and Hannah and brunch with Bailey and Megan.

Washington, DC, hosted World Pride 2025. The usual Capital Pride Parade on Saturday was transformed into the World Pride Parade. Chad would have loved it. Lisa is in London for work—and so is Kathryn!

Back to the Midwest

Julia left Alabama on Sunday; so glad they had the time together. In DC, we went to our neighborhood festival, Glover Park Day, which has been running for 30+ years. We have a lot of good memories bringing Julia there each year.
