CAP, Oyamel, Baked and Wired

Julia attended the Center for American Progress event on climate change. She also heard EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy speak. She is learning a lot--most importantly what type of work she would and would not like to do in the future (i.e., not public relations/media/communications). Julia also had a sleepover with her Holton pals.

We carried Whisper on a walk. It didn't help and it was not easy to carry that 10-pound puppy. Now, we're looking for an umbrella stroller. #willtryanything

Laura and Clarkson came to DC. We went to Oyamel for a delicious lunch. The atmosphere is bright and fun; check out the cat below. Catherine helped make the table-side guacamole. They do Mexican small plates really well. Some of our favorites were the squid and bass ceviche, seared scallops, pork belly quesadilla, pork taco, and baby pig with pork rinds. It was nice to be together.

Yay--Baked and Wired is thriving on Thomas Jefferson Street, below the canal. It was packed on Sunday and the coffee was delicious.

Baked and Wired delights!
