UK Adjusting and Belated Birthdays

Julia is doing great! Her room is all organized; she's gone grocery shopping, cooked some meals, and found some great spots to hang out with friends (including Kirkstall Abbey!). We are so proud of how well she has adjusted to life across the pond. She has made many friends--from her MRes group, fellow Americans, flatmates, and others in her dorm. The biggest hassles have been in the logistics of the new phone/plan and getting the bank account. Once she figures it all out--and she's doing a lot of running around to get it all straight--I told her she must share so others will benefit. Registering for modules has also been a bit murky, but hopefully, it will be all clear by next week. I didn't screenshot any pictures of her. :( You'll have to take my word for it--she looks good!

Here at home we celebrated Mom and Miriam's birthdays--belated. Forgot to take pictures of the dinner (turkey, of course!). It was nice to hang out and catch up with Mom, Miriam, and Kathryn. Peanut Butter was especially loving with the girls and spending time under their shirts (LOL).
