Julia turned 25--WOW! We celebrated early with a trip to the ballpark. Unfortunately, the Nats lost to Miami; however, Steven got great seats and it was a lot of fun to hang out with people who enjoy watching the game. Julia's dear friend and past roommate Sarah came from San Francisco for the birthday weekend. She was so helpful and sweet to have around. The family came over for lunch and we had a few options to choose from...hopefully something for everyone. Julia wanted a salad theme--regular salad, Asian cabbage salad, zoodle pesto salad, Caprese salad--and then we added shrimp, chicken, steak, crudites, dips, watermelon, etc. Julia requested a Carvel cake (cookie dough) for dessert. We also had Georgetown cupcakes and pumpkin bread. Benjamin sent flowers and chocolate-covered fruit. :) It was so nice to honor Julia. She's the best daughter ever.
